This edition began with a very topical discussion on the battle between Piers Morgan and Alex Jones, which had happened on the Monday of the week of broadcast on American TV channel CNN (it was broadcast live on Sky channel 506 as a live feed at 2.00am GMT on the CNN UK station, repeated on the Tuesday at 11.00pm GMT).

1. HEALTH ISSUES
- Stevia legalised by the EU - Good news and bad news. The good news: One supermarket is stocking at least three zero-calorie UK-based Stevia brands. The bad news: every single one has stuff noted in the ingredients which sets off alarm bells - so, investigating further: Steviasweet (Hermesetas - L-Leucine & Thaumatin); Truvia (Silver Spoon - Erythritol); and PureVia (Whole Earth - also Erythritol). Wonder why they don't want to give it to us in its pure form (their answer will probably be because the additives are bulking agents - as we're all too stupid to be able to use an 1/8th of a teaspoon of pure Stevia as the equivalent of a teaspoon of sugar...) - but it wouldn't be that simple, now would it? http://www.thelightandenergychannel.tv/the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly-in-the-sweetener-world/
- A list of things to avoid in your diet in 2013 after being 'outed' in 2012. These include the likes of Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Sodium Fluoride, Aspartame and any other artificial sweeteners, and 'white' versions of flour (made white by the addition of bleach), sugar and salt (both which have valuable nutrients removed to look 'pure', which is a nonsense). These will all be covered in more detail in future editions of Red Alert Radio. Avoid concentrated fruit juices (fibre removed). Avoid margarine (trans-fats). Bread/cakes/muffins/pasta/pizza (wholegrain is okay). Processed soy (soy milk, protein, etc). Need to decrease Grehlin – a 28 amino acid hunger-stimulating peptide (can be done by eating various greens). Avoid GM Corn. www.naturalnews.com
- October 2012 - Europe-wide ban on Monsanto GM corn imminent in wake of French study linking it to cancer - http://www.naturalnews.com/037424_Monsanto_GM_corn_French_study.html
- They are also trying to tell us conventional (or artificial as it should be known) food is as good if not better than organic food. http://naturalsociety.com/ridiculous-study-claims-organic-same-as-conventional/

2. THE MEDIA
- Despite being told that Ofcom had no intention of removing Press TV from the Sky platform (Channel 515), guess what they did on 20 Jan? Ofcom revokes Press TV’s licence - http://www.presstv.ir/detail/222122.html
- Madonna's Satanic Performance at the Superbowl, 5 February 2012 - 2012 was a good year for Madonna considering that many people have moved on and got into other artists such as Lady Gaga and Beyonce. But Madonna with the backing of the Music Industry has somehow retained her label as the most powerful woman in pop. How is this possible? http://vigilantcitizen.com/musicbusiness/madonnas-superbowl-halftime-show-a-celebration-of-the-grand-priestess-of-the-music-industry/ and http://www.heraldextra.com/entertainment/music/madonna-s-mdna-is-top-grossing-tour/article_ad70ce60-94cd-5e6d-bdc3-9c1ef4878621.html
- The death of Whitney Houston (11 February 2012) - Once again another mysterious death of a big profile celebrity proves there is a deeper story to understand than what we are being told by mainstream news. http://vigilantcitizen.com/latestnews/what-happened-to-whitney-houston/
- The strange performance by Nicki Minaj at the Grammys (12 February 2012, Staples Center, Los Angeles) - for Madonna to be given the label of the Grand priestess of the music industry it’s obvious that someone is going to have to be sacrificed for it. - http://vigilantcitizen.com/musicbusiness/whitney-houston-and-the-2012-grammy-awards-mega-ritual/
3. POLITICS
- George Galloway and his Respect party wins Bradford West by-election on 29 March 2012.
George Galloway (Respect) 18,341 (55.89%, +52.83%)
Imran Hussain (Labour) 8,201 (24.99%, -20.36%)
Jackie Whiteley (Conservative) 2,746 (8.37%, -22.78%)
Jeanette Sunderland (Liberal Democrat) 1,505 (4.59%, -7.08%)
Sonja McNally (UKIP) 1,085 (3.31%, +1.31%)
Dawud Islam (Green) 481 (1.47%, -0.85%)
Neil Craig (Democratic Nationalists) 344 (1.05%)
Howling Laud Hope (Monster Raving Loony Party) 111 (0.34%)
From just four Respect supporters in the constituency to the biggest shock in British election history. The Guardian online article was amended on 30 March 2012. The original stated that "the seat's Muslim immigrant community had decamped from Labour en masse to Galloway's fundamentalist call for an immediate British troop withdrawal...". This has been corrected, as has the name of Labour's candidate who is Imran Hussain not Hussein. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/mar/30/george-galloway-bradford-west-byelection
