Army Admits Fort Hood Shooter Was on Psychiatric Drugs

Lt Gen Mark A Milley acknowledged that Fort Hood gunman Ivan Lopez was taking psychiatric medication before the shooting, underscoring yet again the clear and consistent connection between mass shooting incidents and SSRI drugs. “Was he on any sort of medications….SSRI’s, anti-depressants, anything of that nature,” a reporter asked Milley, to which the General responded, “He was on medications that’s correct.”

In a subsequent report, officials also admitted that Lopez had been prescribed Ambien, a sleeping pill associated with accidents and aggressive outbursts. 34-year-old Lopez, who shot dead three colleagues and injured 16 others before turning the gun on himself, returned from Iraq suffering from “mental problems,” according to officials. The obvious link between psychiatric drugs and violent outbursts is a common theme that crops up in almost every mass shooting incident, yet the media is routinely loathe to make the connection.

After it emerged that Washington Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis “had been treated…. by the Veterans Administration for his mental problems,” the press showed little interest in discovering what drugs Alexis had been taking. The only medication currently offered by the VA for mental problems are SSRI drugs. Staff Sgt Robert Bales was also taking anti-depressant drugs when he massacred 16 Afghan civilians in 2012.

SSRI medication, which is known to cause violent outbursts, is routinely used to treat PTSD, which goes some way to explain why there are so many stories about both active duty and returning troops carrying out acts of inexplicable violence on a regular basis.

Despite it being reported that prescription drugs were found in the apartment of ‘Batman’ shooter James Holmes days after the Aurora massacre, it took nine months to find out exactly what those drugs were. Like Columbine killer Eric Harris, Holmes had been taking Zoloft, another SSRI drug linked with violent outbursts.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that he was fired by CNN for consistently preaching about gun control and often skipping over actual facts on the matter, Piers Morgan continues to offer himself up as a punch bag, taking to Twitter to spew more unbelievable ignorance.

In the wake of yesterday’s shooting at Fort Hood, Morgan was completely owned by those who chose to respond to his stupidity.

Katie Pavlich said: Oh Piers, you realise the perpetrator killed himself when a woman with a gun confronted him, right? Also, didn't you say in your final show that only military should have guns? How do you square that? Should we stop giving soldiers guns? Oh wait, already did that. Result? mass shootings in gun free, defenceless military bases.  Hey, guess what? Soldiers are required to register their guns at Ft Hood. Not shockingly, the perpetrator didn't register his.

Piers Morgan replied: Mass shootings will only drop in America when the availability of guns is dramatically reduced and mental health issues tackled properly.

Katie Pavlich countered: Um, they have dropped. Down by half since 1992.

Piers Morgan: How many mass shootings have happened without a gun?

Katie Pavlich: How many mass stabbings have happened with a knife? Hint: a bunch. It's the person not the object.

The Cinderella Law: Emotional correctness gone mad

The call for the Cinderella Law represents the latest phase of a campaign to continually expand the range of parental behaviour that can be condemned as abusive. These days, parents who smoke or drink alcohol in front of children risk being characterised as child-abusers. Opponents of the tradition of male circumcision condemn Jewish and Muslim parents as abusers of children. Health activists denounce parents of overweight children for the same offence. Mothers and fathers who educate their children to embrace the family's religion have been characterised as child abusers by anti-faith campaigners. Precisely because the abuse of children is regarded as such a terrible crime, advocates of a variety of different causes frame their campaign in the language of child protection.

Air pollution: European commission launches legal action against the UK

The UK faces fines of up to £300m a year and embarrassing court appearances after the European commission launched legal proceedings against it for failing to reduce "excessive" levels of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) air pollution from traffic, despite 15 years of warnings and several extensions and postponements granted to the government. Other European countries have also failed to meet the air quality directive – that should have been adopted in 2008 – but the EU environment commissioner, Janez Potočnik, has singled Britain out for its "persistent" breaches of the air quality directive. The government has been sent a letter of formal notice of the intention to take Britain to court. The UK has been given two months to respond.

In a statement, the commission said that: "Nitrogen dioxide is the main precursor for ground-level ozone causing major respiratory problems and leading to premature death. City-dwellers are particularly exposed, as most nitrogen dioxide originates in traffic fumes … air pollution limits are regularly exceeded in 16 zones across the UK." The affected areas are Greater London, the West Midlands, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, Teesside, the Potteries, Hull, Southampton, Glasgow, the east, the south-east, the east Midlands, Merseyside, Yorkshire & Humberside, the west Midlands, and the north-east.

But the commission said that Britain had not presented any "credible and workable plan" for meeting air quality standards by 2015.

Ministry Of Truth: Crackdown Ordered On Climate Change Skeptics

The Times: Ministers who question the majority view among scientists about climate change should “shut up” and instead repeat the Government line on the issue, according to MPs.

The BBC should also give less airtime to climate sceptics and its editors should seek special clearance to interview them, according to the Commons Science and Technology Committee. Andrew Miller, the committee’s Labour chairman, said that appearances on radio and television by climate sceptics such as Lord Lawson of Blaby, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer, should be accompanied by “health warnings”.

Mr Miller likened climate sceptics to the Monster Raving Loony Party and said that the BBC should limit interviews with them just as it restricted the coverage it gave to fringe political parties. In a report published today, the committee criticises the BBC’s coverage of climate change, saying that its news programmes “continue to make mistakes in their coverage of climate science by giving opinions and scientific fact the same weight”.

The MPs say that the BBC should apply the same “stringent requirements” to interviewing climate sceptics as it applies to interviewing politicians. “For example, any proposal to invite politicians to contribute to non-political output must be referred to the Chief Adviser Politics. The BBC could benefit from applying a similarly stringent approach when interviewing non- experts on controversial scientific topics such as climate change,” the committee says.

Farage v Clegg – Dan Hodges of The Telegraph watches a different debate

It's the old joke on one side: "How can you tell when Nick Clegg is telling a lie? His lips move." He seems to know absolutely NOTHING about what is already in writing about the long-term objectives of the EU; every single statistic he quoted was WRONG, every time he said "that's simply not true" there is plenty of evidence that actually, it WAS, and when he called Farage a conspiracy theorist, you knew he had lost it. Meanwhile, Nigel Farage has completely blown the credibility of both himself and UKIP by suggesting that fracking would reduce our energy costs in the UK by 50%. This has been shown to be not true, but more importantly he doesn't seem to be interested in the evidence that we are about to destroy the ecology of at least 64% of the UK (allowing for water to then be sold at a premium to households, and our agriculture to be decimated). It would appear, in terms of political parties, there is still no alternative to the status quo...

That said, Dan Hodges of The Telegraph, a former Labour Party and GMB trade union official, for some reason has a blog on the paper’s website.  Some of his comments:

“After the first debate Nick Clegg’s team though he lost the battle but won the war. The instant polls gave the contest to Nigel Farage [69% to 31%], but the Lib Dems had secured their objective – providing their man with prime time coverage and a platform to take a principled and resolute stand in support of Europe... Nick Clegg is easily the more accomplished political performer, and it was again his debate. But by a narrower margin than seven days ago [57% to 36% the previous debate].”

Royal Mail ‘Secret Buyers’ Post Huge Profits at the Expense of Taxpayers

The government has refused to name the companies who have shafted the British taxpayer for £1 Billion. It begs the question as to whether these ‘buyers’ were given the inside scoop and anonymity from the government prior to the sale? How many times will we put up with our public utilities being sold off cheap to secret buyers who profit at the expense of the taxpayer? Haven’t we seen all this before? Look at the state of our country’s utility market for starters. We were told that electricity and gas prices would benefit consumers when those utilities were broken up and sold to multinational corporations. We all know what happened with that and have seen our energy prices skyrocket whereby people now freeze to death in large numbers every time we have a cold snap.

According to official figures, 31,100 excess deaths occurred in the winter of 2012/2013. This is not the total of course, this is only the ‘excess’; this from a population of approximately 65 million people.

Putting this into perspective, it should be pointed out that in the whole of Europe it was reported that 35,000 died as result of the heat wave that covered the continent in 2003; this from a population of approximately 650 million.

How much will it be to post a letter in five years’ time? Do we really think any of us have benefited from any of the much-lauded privatisation schemes, which have been carried out without our permission? These were the assets of OUR country. They did not belong to politicians to sell off to their friends as some form of God given right simply because they sit in Westminster. WE pay them to do OUR bidding and WE pay them handsomely. But yet again, WE have no say in how much WE pay them. They are OUR servants. WE are their MASTERS.

Please Disengage You Brain Before Applying For a Job in Airport Security - It's For Your Own safety

When someone is stopped and searched by airport security 9 times out of 10 in a supposedly random process, it's a bit too consistent to be random. Having got out of bed at 4.30am on Thursday morning, for what I imagined would be an enjoyable trip to Guernsey, although work related, my experience of the day in terms of airport security at both London Gatwick and Guernsey Airports left me in no doubt that unless we put a stop to what can only be described as an abuse of, and an attack on, human dignity and personal freedom then all notion of such human dignity and freedom will be forever lost.

The first thing I found that had changed since my last outward flight from the airport was in the check-in system. The main difference here was that I was required to look directly into a facial recognition device, which duly scanned me to check I was who I said I was.

I stepped through the metal detector and as expected I was sent towards the Fukishima friendly x-ray machine. At this point I am sure that there was no ‘bleep’ of alarm from the ‘metal detector’. I certainly didn’t hear one. This is an obvious indication that the ‘metal detectors’ were deliberately set NOT to go off as an excuse for the use of these human body toasters to keep us all safe from ourselves. Although it was my first experience of mandatory body scanning, I refused to go through the ‘safe’ microwave oven to ascertain if I was dangerous to my fellow irradiated passengers. I was then asked if I had a pacemaker, to which I replied “no”. I was then asked my reason for not wishing to be scanned. I replied honestly that having witnessed my 4 year old son die after having an x-ray a number of years ago, I was not going to subject myself to an unnecessary x-ray as I was not a criminal and that Gatwick airport had no reason to suspect I was.

They had already scanned my face and ascertained that I was who I said I was and therefore they knew I was no threat. (My son was resuscitated at the time but that’s not the point).

At this point the 'Borg' called for a supervisor to attend. After briefly discussing the situation with the supervisor I was told I could decline the cooking cupboard for a pat down. I expected this and stated that I was only consenting under duress and that being a journalist I wished to film the search. That request was refused on the grounds that I was in a secure area.

It hardly needs to be said that as this point I felt far from secure, although I was aware of the procedure having been groped on 7 previous occasions. However, it then transpired that I was to be searched by 2 young Asian gentlemen, no doubt earning minimum wage and desperate to keep their jobs. Let me be very clear, I am not making any racist points here, I am simply pointing out that the use of Asians to counter an assumed ‘terrorist threat’ such as myself, is simply a psychological tool to instil a feeling of hatred within someone who may be inclined to racist views. I am not such an individual.

At this point I expected to be searched there and then. However, the procedure has changed it seems. The airport camp guards now required me to go with them to a private room for a private search. At this point the white supervisor insisted on helping me with my belongings. I politely told him that I didn’t consider him to be my ‘mate’ and that I was well capable of carrying my own belongings the meagre distance to the interrogation suite at which point I took them off him. The room was approximately 8 feet square with a simple table for putting your belongings on.

The procedure then followed the same process I had experienced on the previous 7 searches with the frisker running his latex gloved hands over my arms legs and torso. As he got close to my crotch I warned him that if he so much as brushed against my genitals then I would defend myself. I asked the supervisor if he understood this. The young Asian gentleman, who was clearly embarrassed at having to carry out this degrading function, took my advice and steered clear of any potential painful repercussions on himself and finished his search.

I also pointed out that, “If I or any other ‘terrorist’ was in the slightest bit intelligent, they would avoid airports at all costs and simply walk into a number of Tesco stores and blow themselves up. That would be real terror.” Needless to say, this clown didn’t understand the concept of terrorism at all. I then asked if he’d ever heard of Nuremburg to which he declined to reply. I further pointed out that the Nuremburg defence didn’t work in Nazi Germany and that one day it wouldn’t work here either and that as a Nazi himself he would be held liable for his crimes. He refused to comment of course other than to say as I left the room, “Thank you for your co-operation, have a pleasant flight” to which I replied “F*** you”.

For those who haven’t been subjected to this, you better be prepared because it will be happening on the streets of Britain in the very near future. For those who have experienced this system and haven’t had any objection to it, then you deserve all the physical abuse coming your way from a system, which will become even more overtly totalitarian and brutal.

The search again followed the familiar routine as the groper then proceeded to remove a metal detector from the wall and sweep me with this implement. Mysteriously, this device showed that I was not carrying metal which obviously makes a mockery of the first ‘detector’ I had gone through which ‘randomly’ showed I was carry metal objects, if it was actually working at all.

I proceeded to the departure lounge where I had yet another security level to go through. This involved handing over my passport, which I expected but I was also asked to look up to have my face digitally raped yet again. My initial anger at having been groped by the previous security goons, not being that far under the surface, I couldn’t help stating that they’d already scanned and groped me already and that they knew exactly who I was to which the reply was that they “weren’t looking for that”. To prevent further anger rising I walked away in disgust at the imbecility of these robots who have no capacity to engage any intellectual brain activity whatsoever.

I was then ‘allowed’ to board the aircraft. I observed the energy rating information on entry to the cabin. I was rather un-reassured to see that the machine had a low energy rating. Personally, I'd like any aircraft I board to have a very high energy rating to ensure that it stays in the sky, but perhaps I'm just being a little too pedantic? I can't say I'm impressed with an airline which prides itself on its aircraft having the same eco-friendly characteristics of an electric toothbrush.

Are They Constables and Officers or Have the Police Now Become Bailiffs?

Tilly Lamb, who is recently widowed, has become ill following the actions of the mortgage company in their eagerness to repossess her home. She was therefore unable to be there in person on the advised day of eviction as the stress would have been too much for her to bear.

However, eleven good people who believe in a fair and just society turned up at the home of Tilly to peacefully resist the unlawful actions of the county court officer, county court bailiff and, as it turned out, the police who are supposed to be there to keep the peace as this was a civil matter.

As the appointed time approached we were surprised to see a total of 22 police men and women turn up with some PCSOs included. This all seemed a little odd for an eviction.

They would not produce EX 96 signed by the claimant or the court warrant with court seal and wet signature. Instead they insisted to the police that the paperwork was in order. The criminal actions of the police, court Enforcement Officer, bailiff, and locksmiths then proceeded. They forced entry despite peaceful resistance. We were shocked to see that the locksmiths took the windows out and then covered the openings with slotted steel covers These would easily allow wind and rain to enter and thereby causing physical damage to the inside of the property. It is worth noting that there is no charge registered against this property at the Land Registry.

The Court Enforcement Officer and bailiff were breaking the law by enforcing repossession without providing the necessary paperwork. This is usually the case by the way. No judge wants to accept the liability by signing an unlawful warrant. Form EX96 was also not produced. The police were acting outside their authority by not allowing us to check paperwork as requested and then using violence and intimidation to remove lawful and peaceful resistors. They forcibly tried to stop filming of events by illegally grabbing the video camera on two occasions. This has been witnessed and recorded.

The police were acting in the role of bailiffs whilst being paid from the public purse, when they are only there to keep the peace. This is hypocrisy of the highest order. The locksmiths were breaking into person’s property whilst falsely believing that they are empowered to do, unaware that they are committing criminal damage.

ARTICLE 45 of the MAGNA CARTA comes to mind. “We will appoint as Justices, Constables, Sheriffs or Bailiffs Only Those Who Know The Law”. It is clear that ‘if’ the Court Enforcement Officer and bailiff had been in possession of the correct paperwork, then they would have shown it.

Hospital data sold without patients' consent to boost profits of private drugs companies

Hospital records have been sold to dozens of companies including pharmaceutical giants and private firms without patients' knowledge or consent, newly-released data shows. Details about NHS patients have gone to major names including Bayer, Baxter, AstraZeneca, Bupa and Roche.  Consultancy firms McKinsey, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Ernst and Young are also among those who have paid to secure data from the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC).

Some have used the apparently anonymous data to formulate marketing strategies, inform their sales teams and work with clients to get new drugs into the NHS. Campaigners said patients would be shocked to learn how their records have been sold without their consent to boost the profits of private firms - rather than simply being used to improve NHS care. The HSCIC said it only charges for the cost of producing the material and does not make a profit.

The release of the information by HSCIC, the new body in charge of NHS patient data, covers contracts agreed with companies from April to December last year. It comes after revelations earlier this year that records going back 13 years were sold to the insurance industry, providing guidance to companies about how to set their prices for cover. Controversial plans to harvest GP records for similar information have been put on hold amid concerns about patient confidentiality, including security from hackers.
